Field(s) of Interest

Shock induced reactions, shock induced synthesis, laser ignition of composite particles, thermal measurements of reactive materials.

Description of Your Work/Project in C-SWARM

Working with others to characterize different reactive materials and the effects of shock induced compaction. Characterization of certain reactive combination, especially Ni/Al and TiN/B is studied using Differential Scanning Calorimetry, X-Ray diffraction & electron microscopy. The effects of shock induced reactions is observed using high speed cameras.
